john candy auditioned for loius tully for ghostbusters and wanted to use his german sheppards in the film so ivan reitman dissmissed john's idea because the terror dogs were scripted for the movie and john turned it down and rick moranis won the role for the movie and rick got on well with sigourney weaver.
